Our Mission

Our mission is to "Help at-risk youth succeed in life. Changing the world one life at a time, leaving nobody behind". We began the Need A Hand Of Hope foundation in the memory of our founder's son.

Bailey Robert Windus died in a tragic car accident in South Lake Tahoe on Dec. 4th 2020. He was 21 years old. Bailey had a rough time as a young teenager, losing his mom at 13 years old. He suffered from grief greatly. A local non-profit stepped in and offered free grief counseling. Unfortunately, it helped only a little and his life started to spiral out of control. He dropped out of high school and turned to drugs and alcohol as a coping mechanism, as many young people do.

He pulled himself out of it when he was 18 years old and went back to school, where he graduated at the top of his class. He then went on to college at the Santa Rosa Junior College studying to be a child psychiatrist. He pulled straight A's and earned his Associates degree. Bailey was to transfer to UC Davis in the spring. He was well on his way to living his dream. He had a serious passion to help kids and he showed it in his walk in this world and in his relationships with his friends and family. We at the Need A Hand Of Hope Foundation intend to carry on his passion and make a real difference in every way we can.
